Welcome to Merimnao

The first question everybody seems to have about the ministry is this, “What does Merimnao mean?”  Merimnao is a Greek word taken from the following Scripture:

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 -   NIV

The word translated as “anxiety” here is “merimnao” in the original Greek.  It can sometimes be found translated as fears, troubles, burdens, cares or worries and carries with it the spiritual concept of “broken-heartedness”.

Merimnao is therefore best thought of as a ministry to the broken-hearted.
